Season 16 of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is set to premier on FX Wednesday, June 7, making it the longest-running sitcom in American history.
You'd think by now the jokes would be tired and the cast would be old. Not the case (well, the gang is 18 years older).
The show — which premiered in 2005 and was created by Philly's own Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and honorary Philadelphian Glenn Howerton — is getting rave reviews so far.
According to Collider, this season takes predictable "wild directions," and delivers, one with a "Breaking Bad" crossover featuring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
"Even though we know these scenarios are likely going to end in blood and vomit (or both), or The Gang ending up right where they were while hurting those around them, even after almost two decades, there’s still a joy to watching them be the absolute worst people imaginable," the outlet says.
The trailer dropped earlier this month and is stirring excitement among fans.
"Í've not experienced another show that would stay so entertaining after 15 seasons and still leave you wanting more," one person writes. "This really is a goldmine of a show."
"What's really amazing is how Sunny started years before Breaking Bad, while Bryan Cranston was still Hal in Malcolm in the middle, and yet is still going strong almost a full 20 years later," another added.
